Record Turnout in Haryana Elections

CHANDIGARH: A total of 1,24,12,023 voters cast their votes in the Haryana Assembly elections on Wednesday, taking the voting percentage to a record high of 76.54. These included 67,37,003 male voters with logging pc of 77.11, and 56,75,020 females with 75.87 pc. The maximum of 89.4 per cent polling was recorded in the Ellenabad Assembly constituency in Sirsa district, where the maximum polling by men and women was also recorded, at 89.49 and 88.52 per cent respectively. Sirsa district topped the state with 84.66 per cent polling. Registering only 59.97 per cent, the Faridabad Assembly constituency recorded the lowest voter turnout in the state. The lowest turnout of women voters was recorded in Badhkal with 57.81 pc, whereas the lowest turnout of men was recorded in Ballabgarh, at 61.36 pc.
