PANAJI: Former Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat is being questioned by the state’s crime branch in connection with the U.S. firm Louis Berger bribery case.

Meanwhile, former Louis Berger vice-president Satyakam Mohanty has been arrested after being questioned by the Goa crime branch in connection with this case.

Mohanty’s arrest comes after Anand Wachasunder, a senior official who headed the controversial JICA water project in Goa, was held by the crime branch.

The New Jersey-based firm was charged with paying around USD one million in bribes to win major projects in Goa and Guwahati.
