NEW DELHI: A day after questioning the suspension of 25 Congress MPs and even praising Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday. As Sinha praised the AAP government in the national capital it left the saffron party in a piquant situation.

In a nearly hour-long meeting that took place at Kejriwal’s residence where Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and senior AAP leader Ashutosh were present, both of them claimed that politics was not discussed. “We want to open a film city in Delhi and that is what I discussed with Shatrughan Sinha in the meeting,” Arvind Kejriwal said. A senior AAP leader said, “The Noida Film City plan did not work out. So, Kejriwal explored the possibility of reviving the plan. Delhi is often considered as a base for shooting in the Himalayas. So, even this option was explored.”

However, Sinha said discussions were related to “art and culture”. He also said that he likes Kejriwal as a Chief Minister. “His government was working fine,” Sinha said after the meeting.

“There was no discussion on Bihar elections or any other political subject. Apart from the possibility of opening a film city we discussed the FTII issue. It’s not a crime to meet the Delhi CM,” Sinha added.

Earlier, Sinha had praised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and called him a leader of the masses, whom he had also met after Modi’s rally in Patna last month.

He was also unhappy over Congress MPs expulsion. However, Sinha’s action will not be taken kindly by the BJP top brass. He has been publically meeting and praising those leaders, against whom the BJP was campaigning aggressively. INteresintly, Kejriwal and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had met recently, after which the AAP announced that they would campaign in the election-bound state. Now, when Sinha has met Kejriwal it will further fuel speculation and even demands for  cautioning the actor-turned-poltician.
