Centre Seeks Report from J-K Government on Arrest of Pakistan Terrorist

NEW DELHI:  The Centre today sought a report from the Jammu and Kashmir government on the arrest of a Pakistani terrorist in Baramullah.

In a communication, the Home Ministry asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to send a detailed report on the circumstances leading to the arrest of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, who belongs to Muzaffargarh in south west Pakistan, official sources said.

In a major success, Army soldiers yesterday captured a Pakistani terrorist after killing his four associates in a two-day operation in Kashmir, weeks after Mohammad Naved Yakyb from Pakistan was caught alive in Udhampur.

The arrested terrorist, identified as 22-year-old Sajjad Ahmed from Muzaffargarh in south west Pakistan, was literally smoked out from a cave in the heights of Rafiabad area in Baramullah, about 100 kms from Srinagar.
