Talks on Over Seat Sharing Among Left Parties for Bihar Polls: Yechury

JAMSHEDPUR: In an attempt to increase the representation of Left parties in the Bihar Assembly, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury today said negotiations were going on over seat sharing among the parties for the forthcoming polls in the state.

"We will contest the Assembly polls in Bihar and talks are on over the seat sharing issue among Left parties," he said.

"The Left parties will fight the elections to defeat the communal forces, to end the caste-based politics as well as anti-people policies and to increase their representation in the state Assembly," Yechury said. "The purpose of Left parties and the Congress is to defeat the communal forces," he said adding, they would not be a part of the JD(U)-RJD-Congress Grand Secular Alliance in Bihar.
