SASARAM: Sleuths of state vigilance department today arrested a District Civil Surgeon on charge of taking bribe, in Bihar's Rohtas district.
Acting on a complaint, the sleuths of vigilance department raided the office of Civil Surgeon Jai Shankar Prasad and caught him red-handed while he was allegedly accepting Rs 80,000 as bribe money, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Vigilance) Munna Prasad said.
One Ram Suresh Pandey, a resident of Maldaha village had lodged a complaint with the DSP against the Civil Surgeon that Prasad sought Rs 80,000 for alloting him maintenance work of generator and cleaning work in hospitals in the district.
