NEW DELHI: A day after BJP members gave roses to Congress MPs, the NDA’s ‘Gandhigiri’ continued in Parliament on Wednesday with PM Narendra Modi offering a glass of water to AAP MP Bhagwant Mann, who was shouting anti-government slogans over the CBI raid on a Delhi government babu.
Mann was standing in the well of the House and shouting when he looked around for water. Immediately, a smiling Modi offered him the glass of water on his desk. The AAP MP from Sangrur in Punjab drank the water and put the glass back on the PM’s table. The two exchanged smiles.
Several BJP members thumped their desks at the PM’s gesture, while Mann immediately returned to shouting slogans. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, who missed the moment, laughed heartily after she came to know about it.
