Hardline Hurriyat Calls Strike Tomorrow

SRINAGAR: Hardline Hurriyat Conference leader Syed ALi Shah Geelani today called for a general strike across Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow to protest against the killing of a mother-son duo allegedly by a village defence committee member in Rajouri.

Geelani has also called for disbanding of the Village Defence Committees in the state following three murders committed allegedlyby its members in a span of one week.

A National Conference activist was shot dead by another VDC member last Saturday.
