SRI NAGAR: Police and Army have launched a massive search operation in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, where five LeT militants have allegedly been trapped. An Army official told Express that a large contingent of police and army are engaged in the combing operation. “Army’s elite para commandos are also assisting in the combing operation. “Five LeT militants were trapped in the Bandipora forest area in the second fortnight of October. Since then, they have been trapped in the forest area. We have foiled many attempts by militants to shift them to another place in the Valley,” he said.Lashkar’s then Kashmir chief Abu Qasim visited the area and tried to shift them. Qasim was killed in a gunfight on October 29.
