Shiv Quizzed in Sunanda Murder Case

NEW DELHI:The Delhi Police on Thursday grilled Shiv Pushkar Menon, Sunanda Pushkar’s son, in connection with her murder case. Shiv lives in Dubai with his father who was Sunanda’s second husband. He arrived at the Anti-auto Theft Squad (AATS) office in Vasant Kunj afternoon in his step father Shashi Tharoor MP’s car. Later, Shiv was questioned by the SIT team comprising DCP Prem Nath, Additional DCP P S Kushwaha, Inspector Rajender Singh and others.

Earlier in the day, City Police Commissioner(CP) B S Bassi said that the SIT may yet gain Tharoor and his domestic help Narayan Singh for questioning if the situation warranted it. The duo had been questioned by the SIT last month in connection with the case.

According to Bassi, Shiv’s interrogation can shed light on various aspects of the case. “Shiv has come and joined the investigation. His interrogation is in progress. He can help us with the investigation,” the CP added.

While most of the questions put to Shiv pertained to his family members and personal issues, a few were about the mystery surrounding his mother’s death.
