PM Pays Tributes to Subhash Chandra Bose, Bal Thackeray

NEW DELHI: On the 118th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tributes to the freedom fighter, saying his bravery and patriotic zeal is an inspiration.           

"Subhas Babu's organisation & leadership skills were exceptional. He was a phenomenal personality, for whom good of the Nation was paramount," Modi tweeted.              

"His bravery, courage & patriotic zeal inspire us. On his birth anniversary, I bow to the proud son of India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose," he added in another tweet.       

Bose, the founder of Indian National Army, was born on January 23, 1897.                

Modi also remembered Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray on his birth anniversary.            

"His was a life dedicated towards people's welfare. He lives on in our hearts," the Prime Minister said about the late leader.
