4-year-old and 5-year-old Raped in Two Separate Incidents

FARIDABAD: A 4-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour, police said today.            

According to a complaint filed by the victim's mother, her husband had been admitted to the hospital on Monday where she stayed with him all night, SHO Inspector Rajinder Singh said.          

When she returned home yesterday morning, she was informed by her landlord that her neighbor Vishwajeet (23) had taken her daughter to his room and raped her, the SHO said.          

The accused Vishwajeet was arrested yesterday, he added. A case was registered yesterday with Saran police station under IPC section 376 (rape) and section 4 of POCSO, the SHO said.  

5-yr-old raped, accused arrested

A five year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in East Champaran district of Bihar and the police in a prompt action arrested the accused from a hideout in Motihari town.           

The incident took place at Ajgari village late last night as the accused in an inebriated condition took the child to a nearby place and raped her, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar said.       

The girl was found lying unconscious by her family members who then rushed her to a hospital for treatment, he added.

Acting on a complaint filed by the family, the police arrested the accused from Motihari town and booked him under relevant sections of law after he confessed to the deed.

Meanwhile, District Magistrate Jitendra Srivastava said a chargesheet will be filed within 24 hours against the accused and he will be brought to justice through speedy trial.
