Minor Girl Raped in UP

SITAPUR: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Rampur Kalan police station area here, police said today.    

The incident took place last evening when the girl had gone to graze cattle and the accused identified as Dilip raped her. He then fled from the scene, leaving her in an unconscious state, they said.          

Later, the girl's family members and villagers took her to the Community Health Centre, Sidhauli from where she was shifted to the district hospital and the incident was reported to police.     

Circle Officer Arun Kumar said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the family and efforts are on to nab the culprit.    

Medical examination of girl will be conducted after her condition stablises, he added.
