SAMBHAL: A 22-year-old youth allegedly killed a girl and then committed suicide as they were apparently upset over family members' disapproval of their relationship in Amawati village in Hayatnagar area here, police said on Friday.
Veer Pal shot the 18-year-old girl, with whom he allegedly had an affair, and later committed suicide, they said.
The couple was upset as their families did not approve of their relationship, they said.
Police recovered a country-made pistol from the spot and the probe is underway, they said.
