PATNA: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has clarified that his 'snake' jibe was aimed at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“He has clarified it. Nitish ji has said it in the context of BJP,” he told the media here.

Nitish had during a conversation on Twitter likened himself with 'sandalwood' (chandan) when someone asked him how he would carry on the development projects by joining hands with Lalu.

As soon as the Bihar Chief Minister posted a couplet by famous poet Rahim, the reference to the 'snake' was quickly interpreted as directed at Lalu.
