BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy wrote in his blog alleging Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi was arrested in Boston airport for carrying 1,60,000 USD cash and holding white powder.

He also said that it was former Prime Minister Vajpayee was the one who saved Rahul by asking the then US President George Bush to release Rahul Gandhi.

This isn't the first time Mr Swamy is making a controversial claim, he took it further by claiming that the Gandhi family was blackmailing Vajpayee and didn't know the reason behind it.

However he said “broadly speaking Mr Vajpayee had much to hide. During the emergency he wrote apology letter to Indira Gandhi saying that what Jayaprakash Narayan done was wrong and he is sorry for it. And so please let me out of Jail. Indira Gandhi let him out of Jail.”

Mr Swamy also spoke about this today, where he asked the Congress to first look within before blaming others. He was referring to the disruptions in the Parliament by Congress demanding the resignation of top BJP leaders, Sushma Swaraj, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Vasundhara Raje in the Lalitgate scam and Vyapam Scam.
