NEW DELHI: With Assembly elections in Bihar likely to be held in September-October, the Election Commission on Sunday decided to depute four teams of E-Roll auditors in Bihar to ensure quality of electoral rolls.
With an objective of ensuring improvement of quality -- weeding out duplicate entries from electoral rolls, compliance of Election Commission’s instructions and statutory provisions for roll management, the Election Commission is sending four teams of E-Roll auditors in Bihar from next week, according to an official release. The four teams comprising six officers each are part of the Commission’s newly-set up Regulatory Audit Division and Bihar will be their first assignment.
