Budget Session to Begin on June 23

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party government announced on Thursday that the Budget Session will be held from June 23 to June 30 for remaining nine months of the current financial year. The state government has prepared a draft of Budget and sent it to the Lieutenant Governor for the approval of the Central Government. 

“In today’s cabinet meeting, we have decided to hold Budget Session from June 23 to June 30,” said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. In the Budget, government will make provisions to continue the electricity subsidy which will come to an end this month, sources said.  

In March, the Delhi government had presented a vote-on-account in the Assembly for April to June to run their several financial schemes and announced plan to spend a total of Rs 37,750 crore in 2015-16.
