Punjab Forms Four Members Committee to Address NRI's Issues

Punjab government constituted a four member panel to address the NRI\'s issues with a deadline of 15 days to put a detailed report in this regard.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab government today constituted a four member panel to address the NRI's issues with a deadline of 15 days to put a detailed report in this regard.

The state has formulated a plan to resolve the issues of Punjabi Diaspora within a stipulated time frame and the formation of the committee under the chairmanship of NRI's Affairs Minister Tota Singh was also part of the plan, an official spokesperson said.

CM's Advisor Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal; Karan A Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Revenue; Commissioner NRI's Affairs B Purushartha and Manvesh Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to Deputy CM would be the member of this committee, which would submit its report of the problems faced by the NRIs regarding land dispute, land vision and Girdawari.

He said that special courts for NRI's at Jalandhar has already set up to save the precious time of NRI's and provide justice in time bound manner and it could also encourage the NRI's to invest in Punjab.
