PILIBHIT: A man allegedly killed his wife by administering poison to her after she was unable to meet his dowry demands in Sadar Kotwali area, police said here.
Imran allegedly administered poison to his wife Shaheen after she failed to meet his dowry demand of Rs 10 lakh in Sher Mohammad locality yesterday, they said.
Police said that after this Shaheen went to her brother's house where she fell on the door. She was rushed to a hospital, but died midway.
Before her death, Shaheen told her brother that Imran gave poison to her.
Superintendent of Police J K Shahi said that an FIR has been lodged against four persons, including Imran.
