PATNA/JEHANABAD: A JD(U) leader today filed a complaint against Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) president Arun Kumar for his "chest breaking" remark against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar which has triggered widespread anger among JD(U) and RJD leaders.
Jehanabad district JD(U) leader and former senate member of Magadh University Chandrika Prasad Yadav filed the case against Arun Kumar, who is Jehanbad MP, for his "chest breaking" comment on the CM in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Daya Shankar Singh.
While addressing a press conference along with BJP and LJP leaders on June 27, Arun Kumar alleged that members of a particular caste (Bhumiyar) were being targeted in Barh and Mokama areas in the wake of the arrest of MLA Anant Singh.
The RLSP state chief had asserted, "We are not wearing bangles and will break chest of Chief Minister for hurting our respect."
In his complaint, the JD(U) leader also incorporated comments of expelled RJD leader Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav calling RJD president "Duryodhan and Kansh" which he said was aimed at spreading tension in the society.
The complainant said he heard the RLSP leader's comment in TV and read it in newspapers and decided to move court against it.
The court is scheduled to hear the matter tomorrow. Earlier in the day, JD(U) state spokesman Neeraj Kumar expressed objection to the RLSP MP's comment and asked him to tender a public apology for his remark or be prepared to face legal action.
“RLSP president Arun Kumar should either seek public apology for making uncharitable remarks against the CM or be prepared to face court case," Neeraj Kumar, MLC, told PTI.
The JD(U) spokesman said Arun Kumar seems to have taken the word out of the "dictionary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi" which, he said, proves "literary terrorism of NDA leaders on rivals," he said.
The comment has since triggered strong reaction from RJD president Lalu Prasad too.
