SRINAGAR:In a major boost for tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir, Germany has relaxed its travel advisory and now recommends its citizens to travel to Kashmir. “Germany officially recommends its citizens to travel to Kashmir,” German Envoy to India Michael Steiner informed J&K Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during a meeting in Srinagar. Many European Union and Western countries have barred their citizens from travelling to Kashmir, which has been witnessing militancy since 1989. Steiner offered his cooperation to Mufti on changing the negative perception about the Valley. The German Envoy’s promise that his country would recommend its citizens to travel to Kashmir will be a big boost for tourism industry of the state
