NDA Out to do Away With Reservation Policy: Mayawati

BHABHUA: BSP supremo Mayawati today expressed fears that the NDA government was out to do away with reservation for OBCs and SC/STs in the backdrop of the RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat's call for review of the existing reservation policy.      

"I am afraid that the NDA government is out to do away with reservation for OBCs and SC/STs amid Bhagwat's call for review of the reservation policy in existence for all these years since independence," she told an election rally.  

The NDA government was having a second thought on the reservation policy at a time when the BSP and other political parties were demanding extending the affirmative steps in private sector too, Mayawati, a four-term chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said.
