NASHIK: A day-long 'Pani Parishad' (Water Conference) to discuss water-related issues such as river pollution, inadequate rainfall among others would be held here tomorrow, seer Shankaracharya Adhokshyajanand of Jagannath Puri Peeth said today.
Several 'mahants', 'sadhus', MPs, MLAs, environmentalists and water experts would attend the conference, he said.
"The condition of the rivers, which we consider sacred, is worsening day by day. Through the conference, we aim to create awareness among the people on the issue," the Shankaracharya said, urging water experts to participate in the conference.
