BSF Seizes Six Kilograms of Suspected Heroin

The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Sunday, seized six packets of contraband suspected to be heroin.

AMRITSAR: The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Sunday, seized six packets of contraband suspected to be heroin here.

The BSF seized approximately six kilograms of suspected Heroin at the Punjab border on the intervening night of 5th and 6th in the area of responsibility of Border Out Post Uttar Dhariwal, Ex- 50 Bn BSF, Sector Amritsar.

“Approx. 6 kg of suspected heroin recovered. It is a result of our alert forces and BSF’s vigil,” said M.F. Farooqui, Deputy Inspector General, BSF.

The troops were on high alert after observing suspicious movements of Pakistani smugglers on the other side of the fence near international border.

When the smugglers started throwing some packets over Border Security Fence, BSF troops immediately challenged them to stop, but the Pakistani smugglers managed to escape taking cover of darkness and high growth of wild grass.
