NEW DELHI: Finance Secretary Ratan P. Watal held a coordination cum review meeting with the Secretaries and Chief Economic Adviser of the Ministry of Finance here on Monday.
Watal took stock of the work in progress and discussed pending policy issues in different departments of the Ministry. He called for expeditious action in such matters.
This was the first meeting taken by Watal after becoming the Finance Secretary at the beginning of this month.
The meeting also discussed issues relating to better coordination among all the Departments of the Ministry especially in view of Budgetary exercise which has already started.
The Finance Secretary said that such meetings will be now held on regular basis and to begin with, on weekly basis.
