Two Nepalese Women Sexually Exploited by Saudi Arabia Couple

GURGAON: Two Nepalese women were allegedly harassed, sexually exploited by a Saudi Arabia couple, who works in Saudi Arabia embassy, in Haryana’s Gurgaon, police told on Tuesday.

According to the police, the incident came to light when a Non-Government Organization approached local police with a complaint that two Nepali women were confined by a Saudi couple and were sexually exploited by their friends. 

“The man at the Saudi Arabia embassy in New Delhi has been booked for rape while his wife have been booked for torturing the two Nepali women. The victims were raped and gang raped by the embassy official and his friends and guests also,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Kumar told Express.

Kumar further pointed out that the two Nepali women came to Delhi looking for employment after the deadly earthquake in Nepal.

“The Saudi couple promised good pay if they work for them at home and took them to Jedah. Two months ago, they returned form there and started living in a flat on the fifth floor of Ambience Island Caitriona complex in Gurgaon along with the two Nepali women. The couple also employed another domestic help. She was also treated the same way, she escaped and informed an NGO, who brought this to our notice” Kumar said.

The police have registered an FIR under sections gang rape, rape and confinement  of the Indian Penal Code against the accused.

The officer said further investigations are on in to the case.

In the meantime, Balkrishan Pandey of NGO Maiti India, said, “The victims were rescued from an flat in Gurgaon on Monday evening.” He also said that the victims in the complaint had alleged that the Embassy official and his unknown friends and guests had allegedly raped, gangraped two Nepali women .

No arrests have been made so far.
