MUZAFFARNAGAR: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by a gunman hired by her husband as she was opposed to his extra-marital relationship at Miranpur town here, police said today.
The victim, Irshadi Begum was shot dead yesterday by Farman (20), who was hired by her husband, Israr, for Rs 10,000, SSP K B Singh told reporters here.
Israr got her killed after she had objected to his illicit relationship with another woman, she said.
Israr and Farman have been arrested, police said.
The pistol used in the crime has been seized, police said, adding, the body has been sent for postmortem.
