KOLKATA: Altogether 1.4 kg of gold valued at Rs 36.82 lakh was seized from a passenger bu Customs officials on her arrival at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport here today.
Acting on a tip off, the Customs sleuths intercepted the lady passenger on her arrival here from Dubai by an Emirates flight and seized the booty, airport sources said.
The gold was kept concealed in the channel of a trolley bag as white plated wire.
The passenger was later arrested, they added.
