MUMBAI:Those residents of the national capital who had their houses in the vicinities of the protected monuments may now have it a bit easy. The government has started a single-window clearance system for construction-related activities near heritage structures. The NOC Online Application Portal and Processing System, launched here by Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma, will eliminate the complicated procedures for getting no-objection certificates for repair, renovation and construction within areas near protected monuments. The Ministry of Culture is seeking the ISRO’s help to calculate the accurate measurements of the geo-coordinates of various monuments. Property owners can also calculate the geocoordinates and can find out if it is permissible to carry out any construction, the minister said.
