Air Marshal Hari Kumar to take charge of Western Air Command

Air Marshal C. Hari Kumar, who is the present Commander in Chief of Eastern Air Command, will be the next Commander in Chief of the Western Air Command.

NEW DELHI: Air Marshal C. Hari Kumar, who is the present Commander in Chief of Eastern Air Command, will be the next Commander in Chief of the Western Air Command.

Air Marshal S.B. Deo will be the next Vice Chief of the Air Staff.

He is presently the Commander in Chief of the Western Air Command.

Deo will take over from Air Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, who is all set to be the new Indian Air Force (IAF) chief.

He will hand over the charge of the Western Air Command to Hari Kumar.

Deo was commissioned into the fighter stream in 1979.

Prior to taking over as Air Officer Commanding in Chief of Western Air Command, Deo was the Director General Air Operations at Air Headquarters and Air Officer Commanding in Chief of Eastern Air Command.
