BSP MP's Son Arrested After Daughter-in-law Found Dead in Ghaziabad

Himani, who was shot in the head, is the daughter of ex-minister in the BSP Government Hira Lal Kashyap.

GHAZIABAD: The son of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Rajya Sabha member Narendra Kashyap was on Thursday arrested after her wife, Himani Kashyap, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Ghaziabad early on Wednesday morning.

According to reports, Narendra Kashyap, who is presently admitted in a hospital, will also be arrested once he is discharged.

Himani, who was shot in the head, is the daughter of ex-minister in the BSP Government Hira Lal Kashyap.

SalmanTaj Patil, Superintendent of Ghaziabad Police, told ANI that they have registered an FIR on the basis of the complaint by victim's father.

“We have registered an FIR on the basis of complaint by victim's father. The FIR is registered under Sections of 498 A, 304 B of the IPC and Section 3/4 of Dowry Act,” Taj told ANI.

The victim’s body was yesterday taken to Yashodha hospital for the post-mortem.

Himanshi, 25, married the BSP MP’s son, Sagar, in 2013. The couple has a one-year-old son.
