Placement Fair for Retired Army Personnel From May 31

Army will conduct a two-day placement fair here from April 30 for retired personnel.

JAMMU: Army will conduct a two-day placement fair here from April 30 for retired personnel.

"Army Placement Mela will be organised on April 30 and May 1 at Kala Gate Bari Brahmana, Military Garrison, Jammu, under Tiger Division for the veterans of Jammu and Kashmir," a defence spokesman said.

He said the placement fair is aimed at providing second career opportunities to army veterans in various job profiles.

A large number of industries based in Jammu region have volunteered to take part in it. All retired personnel under the age of 55 years can participate, he said.

The chief guest of the event will be General Officer Commanding of Rising Star Corps Lieutenant General Ashok Ambre, he said.
