Bihar women attack 2-year-old boy with acid after having quarrel with his family

The toddler, who suffered minor burns on his neck and chest, is getting treated at a local hospital.

PATNA: In Gopalganj district, two women poured acid on a 2-year-old boy, the son of their neighbour, when the toddler stayed in their house on Monday.

Police said the two women avenged a recent quarrel over some dispute they had had with the boy’s family. The toddler, who suffered minor burns on his neck and chest, is getting treated at a local hospital.

“A case has been registered. The two accused women have left their home in Sheikh Baili village for unknown locations. We are trying to arrest them,” said a police official in Bettiah.
