One Arrested for Bihar BJP VP Ojha Murder

A day after the brutal murder of BJP Bihar VP, Visheshwar Ojha, police arrested one person, detained five others for questioning.

PATNA: A day after the brutal murder of BJP Bihar vice-president, Visheshwar Ojha, on Saturday the police arrested one person and detained five others for questioning in connection to the case.

“Harendra Singh who is a named accused in the case has been arrested while five others are detained for questioning in the case” said Shahabad region DIG A Rahman. The BJP has called for a bandh on Sunday in the region to protest the murder.

The party had issued an ultimatum to the government to arrest those behind the murder in 72 hours. “A delegation of NDA will meet Governor Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday to apprise him of the deteriorating law and order situation,” BJP spokesperson Sanjay Mayukh said. Reacting to the BJP’s  charges, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav said the opposition was always trying to create an issue. He said killings took place regularly in Jharkhand, but no questions were asked of its government.
