Ram Madhav, Mehbooba Hold Talks

The deadlock over government formation in Jammu & Kashmir is likely to end as BJP national general secretary and point man on Kashmir Ram Madhav held crucial talks with PDP president Mehbooba Mufti in the State capital on Wednesday evening. “Ram Madhav arrived in Srinagar at around 5 pm on a special flight. After landing at the Srinagar airport, he straightaway drove to the residence of PDP president and MP Mehbooba Mufti at Fairview, Gupkar in Srinagar,” a BJP source said. The source said Madhav was not accompanied by any State leader of the party at his meeting with Mehbooba. “He held a one-to-one meeting with Mehbooba and it lasted for over an hour,” the source added. During the meeting, sources said, Madhav assured Mehbooba that her party’s concerns would be taken care of as Prime Minister Narendra Modi attached top priority to Jammu & Kashmir.
