Left Expresses Concern Over Violence During Jats Protest

ROHTAK: Expressing concern over the violence and death of a man during protests by Jats here, CPI(M) today asked the people to remain united and not to pay heed to rumour mongers.

The party's State secretary Surender Singh alleged that the present situation in the state and Rohtak in particular clearly exposes the "incompetence" and "utter failure" of the government and the administration.

"Had the government and administration fulfilled their constitutional responsibilities timely, this situation could have been avoided," he said.

The party demanded the state government to immediately take necessary measures required to safeguard the life and property of the people and control the situation from deteriorating further.
