NEW DELHI: Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu-led panel met here on Tuesday to discuss legal hurdles for giving reservations to Jats under the OBC category. Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh briefed PM Narendra Modi on the situation in Haryana. Singh told Modi that the situation was turning normal and most of the blocked roads had been reopened and water supply to Delhi resumed.

At the Naidu panel meet, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, state finance minister Abhimanyum and state Agriculture Minister Om Prakash Dhankar were present. Khattar ruled out disturbing the 27 per cent quota meant for OBCs in the state and said Jats will be given reservation under a separate provision.
