To wind up Jawahar bag episode, establish law and order my priorities: Magistrate

MATHURA: The newly appointed District Magistrate of Mathura today said his priorities are to "wind up" the Jawahar Bag episode and to establish law and order in the district.

"My first priority would be to wind up Jawahar Bag episode and ensure establishment of model law and order in the district. Rule of law would be maintained at any cost," District Magistrate (DM) Nikhil Chandra Shukla said while listing out his priorities.

Shukla, Special Secretary PWD, was today appointed as DM of Mathura as Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav government removed Rajesh Kumar who has been put on the wait list.

Listing out other priorities, he said implementation of Sravasti model of development would be another priority.

"This model developed by me has been selected for implementation in whole state," he said adding that besides other things it ensures round-the-clock power supply and reducing transmission loss.
