Statute of Maharana Pratap unveiled

Rajnath and Vasundhara unveiled the statue of Maharana Pratap in Udaipur district of the state.

JAIPUR: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today unveiled the statue of Maharana Pratap in Udaipur district of the state.

They also laid the foundation of Eklavya Model Residential School which will be setup at a cost of Rs 12 crore in Udaipur, an official statement said.

Raje, on the occasion, also announced a sum of Rs 7 crore for development of the Mewar Complex; Rs 1.63 crore for the Gogunda Rajtilak Complex and Rs 65 lakh for the development of memorial of Maharana Pratap at Chawand in Udaipur, it said.

Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria and others were also present on the occasion.

Singh is on two-day visit and will also attend programmes in Rajsamand tomorrow.
