Veterinarian arrested for raping married woman in UP

A veterinarian has been arrested for allegedly raping a 35-year-old married woman at her house in Kutubpur village here, police said today.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A veterinarian has been arrested for allegedly raping a 35-year-old married woman at her house in Kutubpur village here, police said today.   

The incident happened yesterday when the accused Ramnivas went to the victim's house for treating a buffalo, they said.            

As per the complaint filed by the victim's husband, the accused forced himself upon his wife and raped her.      

A case was registered against the doctor, police said, adding that he has been arrested.           In another incident, a 7-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a youth in Rampuri area here yesterday, police said.        

They said that a case has been registered against the accused Naveen Kumar and steps are being taken to trace him.     

Meanwhile, three persons were arrested in connection with gangrape of a 17-year-old girl at New Mandi area here yesterday, police said.     

The accused Siddharth, Mohit and Ankit were arrested for raping the girl and making a video of the act, they added.
