SRINAGAR: A suspected improvised explosive device (IED) was today detected by security forces at Lasjan on the Panthachowk-Parimpora stretch of Srinagar bypass road, police said.

A patrol party of security forces detected a suspicious object by the roadside at Lasjan this morning and summoned the bomb disposal squad, a police official said.
