Air India Flight Evades Major Mishap After Tyre Bursts During Landing

A major mishap was averted after an Air India plane, with more than 150 people suffered a tyre burst while landing at the Mumbai airport.

MUMBAI: A major mishap was averted after an Air India plane, with more than 150 people suffered a tyre burst while landing at the Mumbai airport late on Tuesday night.

“During landing the plane tyre burst, fire gradually came towards the window. There was a lot of panic. There was lot of suffocation. But everybody came out safe. Major tragedy has been averted,” said one of the passengers.

The incident took place when the flight which was travelling from Nagpur to Mumbai suffered a tyre blast while landing on the runway at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

There were no injury to any passengers and all of them escaped unhurt after being evacuated through the emergency chutes in the aircraft.
