Uttarakhand HC to Take up PIL on Rawat on April 2

The court said it doubted the intention behind the filing of the PIL and decided to look in to the matter on Saturday.

DEHRADUN: The Uttarakhand High Court Chief Justice on Thursday said that the court would look in to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against Chief Minister Harish Rawat in connection with a sting tape case on April 2.

The PIL was filed before the HC, seeking investigation into Harish Rawat sting tape.

However, the court said it doubted the intention behind the filing of the PIL and decided to look in to the matter on Saturday.

The PIL alleged that a video clip of Chief Minister Rawat surfaced allegedly claiming Rawat’s involvement in horse-trading amid the political crisis in the state.
