Child in Maharashtra dies after gate of railway office falls on him

JALGAON: A four-year-old boy was killed when the gate of a railway office at Bhusawal here fell on him, police said.

The boy was yesterday playing near the main entrance of the railway office where his mother had come to hand over the tiffin box to his father, who worked as a driver there.

While the child was playing, the gate suddenly fell on him, injuring him seriously, a police official said.

The child was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said.

An inquiry would be conducted into the incident, the official said.
