The photograph of an Andhra Pradesh policeman pleading with his hands folded in front of a family of five riding a bike has gone viral.

According to an Indian Express report, Circle Inspector B Shubh Kumar of Anantapur’s Madakasira Circle, was on his way to work and saw the man K Hanumantharayudu riding his bike with his two sons sitting on the fuel tank, while his wife was sitting on the rear seat with another relative.

Shubh Kumar has been conducting road safety programmes in the Madakasira area for the past four months by showing videos of road safety and awareness. Kumar had just finished a similar programme just before this incident. K Hanumantharayudu was also present for this programme. Kumar's mind went blank seeing the five of them putting their life at stake and in turn he folded his hands in helplessness and frustration. The policeman confronted the man and asked him to think of his family safety and not repeat it. In response, Hanumantharayudu just smiled back at Kumar and murmured something.

According to Shubh Kumar, the person was a repeat offender. Even after being warned many times before, neither the man or any of his family members were wearing a helmet.
