Body of IIT student found on railway tracks near Kharagpur

The GRP said the cause of the death would be known only after we get the postmortem report.

KHARAGPUR: The body of a third year student of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Kharagpur) was found lying on the railway tracks near here, Government Railway Police (GRP) sources said today.

The body of third year electrical branch student of IIT-KGP, Sana Sri Raj (20) was found near the railway tracks near Turipara area late last night, the GRP sources said. He is a native of Andhra Pradesh.

His family demanded a CBI probe into the incident and alleged that he was murdered and then his body was dumped on the railway tracks.

The GRP said the cause of the death would be known only after we get the postmortem report.
