RAMPUR: Accusing the Congress of speaking the language of separatists on Kashmir, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today asserted that the BJP dispensation would never allow any political conspiracy against national interest.

"The Kashmir problem is a Congress legacy, it nurtured the problem..... Congressism and separatism are two faces of the same coin," he said at a 'run for unity' event to commemorate the 142nd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The minority affairs minister alleged that the Congress had "proposed and accepted plebiscite when our forces were very near to crushing the Pakistani attackers in Kashmir", and that it wanted the "problem" to linger on.

"It has sufficiently been proved by the recent statement of a former very eminent Union minister. That is why leaders who are its pivots speak the the same language as separatists," Naqvi said in an apparent reference to recent remarks by P Chidambaram on Kashmir.

The Union minister stated "the grand old party's brand new love for separatists exposes its character and designs to exploit the explosive situation to nurse its political interests".

However, the BJP dispensation would never allow any political conspiracy against national interest, he said.
