BHOPAL: A case of molestation and criminal intimidation has been lodged at the TT Nagar police station of Bhopal against state president of the Bahujan Samaj Party and two others on the complaint of a woman, who was expelled from the Mayawati-led party in Madhya Pradesh last month.

The BSP state president Narmada Prasad Ahirwar and two others were booked for alleged molestation and criminal intimidation on the complaint of the 41-year-old woman hailing from Sehore district, said TT Nagar police investigating officer Ramcharan Meena on Tuesday.

The woman has told that she works as a field worker in the health sector and has been a district secretary of the BSP in the past. She also contested the 2013 state assembly polls from native Sehore district and came in contact with Ahirwar six months back.

In the complaint, the woman alleged that she went to attend party meeting at BSP state office in city's 74 Bungalows locality on May 5. She alleged that when she asked for giving her party-related work Ahirwar allegedly told her to stay back at the party office with him for the night.

When she denied accepting his proposal and tried to leave the office, Ahirwar grabbed her hand and tried to pull her back. Ahirwar then lured her with money to stay back. The TT Nagar police investigating officer said that the woman alleged that she came out of Ahirwar's office and narrated the incident to party's secretary, Raja Ram Jatav, but he refused to listen to her woes. Jatav allegedly told her that this is how things work there.

He took Ahirwar's side and later expelled her from party membership. Police said that the woman further alleged that subsequently a party worker Mahesh Kushwah, who runs a restaurant in Sheopur district, started sending her obscene messages over WhatsApp messenger service. The trio allegedly threatened her of dire consequences due to which she kept mum for so long.

She then narrated the incident to an aide and then on an aide's suggestion, she filed a complaint at TT Nagar police station on Monday. However, when contacted in the matter by The New Indian Express on Tuesday, the state BSP chief Ahirwar denied the woman's allegations.

He claimed that the woman met him around eight months back when he became the MP state unit chief of the party. She wanted to get some post in Sehore party unit for which he had told her to meet the zone in-charge and district in-charge.
