BHOPAL: The opposition Congress brought a 49-point "no confidence" motion against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh on Friday, the final day of the three-day parallel assembly session held by the party to protest the adjournment of recent monsoon session of the state assembly in just two days.

On the last day of the parallel session which ended in the same Vidhan Sabha building, the Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Ajay Singh alleged that a series of scams had taken place in the tenure of the present BJP government in the state.

The LoP made a series of corruption allegations against the chief minister and his ministerial colleagues.
Singh said that the state government had planned to allocate industrial plots to the entrepreneurs of micro small, medium enterprises. The process was started from January 6 and the allocation was scheduled to take place between January 11 and January 17.

"But interestingly in Ujjain, the allocation process was completed on January 10 and the plots were allocated, this reveals huge irregularity in allotting the plots," alleged Singh.

He also alleged that a land scam worth around Rs 160 crores too had happened in the present BJP regime in the state. The scam spanned from Bhopal to Rewa district. "We'll file soon go to court on the land scam in Rewa district," said Singh.

The records of the water resources department revealed that extent of irrigable land in the state was only 25 lakh hectare and not 40 lakh hectare, as being repeatedly claimed by the chief minister himself.

Further he claimed that a notice of the income tax department to 42 traders in Hoshangabad district had brought to the fore scam in the most ambitious direct benefit transfer Bhavantar Bhugtan scheme of the state government.

Former minister and senior Congress MLA Sunderlal Tiwari alleged that the multi-crores Vyapam scam is one of the biggest scams in the world. In the scam till date more than 6000 accused were arrested and still the count is on. But not even single rupee of crime money has been seized by the CBI or the STF. "How it is possible that people had paid crores of rupees to fraudsters, but the investigating agencies weren't able to seize even a single penny of the fraud money from the scamsters," questioned Tiwari.

The State Assembly's actual monsoon session started on Monday and was scheduled to culminate on Friday. The Congress had submitted a no confidence motion against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government for discussion, but the Assembly Speaker Sitasaran Sharma adjourned the House sine die on the second day on Tuesday only sans a debate on the no trust vote.

Irked with it, the Congress decided to hold its own parallel assembly session 'Janta ka Darbar' in the same Vidhan Sabha building (outside the House hall) from Wednesday to expose the rampant corruption in BJP government.
